17聯播網由 Google終於推出自家的wiki服務－「Google site」
二月二十八，對台灣全體人民而言是個需要紀念的日子。對總部身在美國的Google來說，也選擇了在今天發佈它自家的wiki服務－「Google site」。足足讓各界與Google Fans等了一年半之久。
故事要從2006年Google收購了「JotSpot」這家wiki軟體公司後開始。收購了之後，Google停止JotSpot招收新會員，但還是提供原有的會員服務。在經過了一年多之後，JotSpot被重新包裝推出，成為了「Google site」。
相對於大部分的wiki服務來說，Google site能夠讓使用者更為容易的去編輯使用者們的wiki page。就跟許多的BSP一樣，Google site已經有內建的背景框架讓使用者們選擇。
加上Google自身強大的資源，全部都可以整合到使用者的wiki page裡面來。例如Youtube、Google Docs、Google Calendars、Picasa Albums等等，全部都可以加入到Google site比照一個個人部落格設計的親和頁面中。
根據官方指出，Google site的使用者們當然也能像使用Google Docs或者其他Google的服務一樣。將自己的wiki頁面鎖起來，或者指定給特定的人去閱讀、編輯。
而關於編輯wiki頁面，Google也表示，將會在近期內發佈專屬的API，讓使用者能夠更方便的來上傳編輯它們的wiki page。Google site也能夠追蹤使用者們對於wiki page編輯上的任何改變。使用者可以隨時倒回所有個改變。
Google site是建立在「Google應用」之下的。也就是說，各位朋友們申請過Google apps後，就能夠使用Google site了唷！目前也是個人的版本免費，層級往上後才開始收費。
